Longevity Biotech is a privately held preclinical biotechnology company developing a new class of linear, stabilized, peptide therapeutics called Hybridtides®. 

Our objective for this meeting is to initiate fundraising (Series A) and partnership discussions to progress our preclinical neuroinflammation program into the clinic.  

To date, Longevity Biotech has demonstrated in vivo neuroprotection in a Parkinson's Disease animal model and established preliminary immunological-based biomarker end-point links to on-going clinical trials.     Longevity Biotech is encouraged to continue the development of this differentiated and potentially disease modifying therapeutic candidate to address the unmet needs across a variety of neurological disorders.  

More generally, Longevity Biotech is committed to the development of our current preclinical portfolio as well as expanding the platform breadth via licensing opportunities.  Currently, Longevity Biotech is developing GPCR based Hybridtides® for the treatment of metabolic, cardiovascular, neuroscience and oncology diseases.   In addition, preliminary data (in vitro &  in vivo) suggest the possibility of oral delivery of Hybridtide based therapeutics.

CitareTx founded in 2008 is a venture development and investment firm based in Houston Texas. The firm provides investment and incubation services to start-up and early-stage medical device companies. The firm provides seed capital (equity) ranging from $5K to $2M with follow-on capital of up to $5M. The firm also considers investment opportunities with smaller than typically accepted venture capital market size thresholds. The firm is geographically agnostic but prefers companies to be based in Texas. The firm is actively seeking new opportunities.

Prize4Life is a non-profit organization founded in 2006 in Cambridge, MA focused on accelerating therapy development for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS, aka Lou Gehrig's disease). Prize4Life uses incentive prizes to attract new minds and drive innovation in ALS drug development. The organization is running the $1M Avi Kremer ALS Treatment Prize4Life challenge for preclinical validation of a novel ALS therapeutic in an ALS mouse model, and submissions to this prize will be accepted until June 6th 2015. In addition to prizes, Prize4Life also runs infrastructure programs to support the ALS research community, such as the ALS FORUM, an online portal of cutting edge research and drug development news in ALS (www.researchals.org).

The NYU Office of Industrial Liaison (OIL) promotes the commercial development of NYU technologies into products to benefit the public, while providing resources to the University to support its research, education, and patient care missions. NYU OIL also facilitates research collaborations between NYU researchers and industry on projects of mutual interest.

In 2013, NYU launched the Office of Therapeutics Alliances (OTA). OTA is a nimble, "virtual biotech" approach to advance novel therapeutic projects by playing on the strengths of NYU in dissecting disease pathways and those of external, professional capabilities in early stage R&D. OTA identifies NYU projects with potential for addressing unmet needs, delineates the path to therapeutic proof of concept and assembles internal and external resources tailored to each specific project’s needs to maximize the likelihood of successful partnerships with biopharma, new biotech startups or disease foundations.

AdVax is an inter/multi-disciplinary team of individuals who have developed major paradigm-shifting science, research, technology and new clinical data sets demonstrating previously unidentified bacterial infections are able to translocate to the brain and be linked to the induction of Alzheimer’s disease.

We have developed novel and proprietary real time molecular diagnostics to identify these non-culturable bacteria and then apply novel immune refocusing technologies to create both monoclonal antibodies that could be used in treatments and a first of its kind vaccine for the prevention of both cardiovascular and Alzheimer’s disease.

Our program is well on its way to identifying the major disease-inducing bacteria, which are then ready to be put into the immune refocusing technology for the derivation of human monoclonal antibodies and vaccines.
